Mariahn Gillian, MA, LLP
Limited Licensed Psychologist
Through my thirty years of experience as a therapist, I have found it is not often what happens to us in life that determines our experience, it is how we respond. I believe people can be helped to identify and heal from pain in their life. I help people recognize their life and thought patterns that affect their experiences.
I assist people in learning more effective responses through the use of cognitive, psychological and experiential techniques. My career has included work as a crisis counselor, a group facilitator, resource advisor for retirement programs, and a leader in Youth Ministry. Being a therapist is both a profession and a calling. I believe God wants us to experience compassion and understanding in our lives. I am grateful for the opportunity to have a part in assisting others.
By utilizing various techniques, I have been given many opportunities to grow. I have been blessed. My desire to be available to others. I not only meet people face to face, but I write articles for the newspaper and give presentations on various topics including: Depression, Anxiety, Stress Management, Life Transitions, Anger Management and Relationship Issues.
